Step-01 is Develop an analyse strategy
Analyse strategy usually includes
Analysis of current system and its problems (current system called as-is system)
Ways to design a new system (new system called the to-be system)
Step-02 is Requirement gathering
Get the information from project sponsor and many other people
Interview or questionnaires are methods of collection information
The analysis of this information leads to the development of a concept for a new system
The new system concept is then used to describes how the business will operate if the new system were developed.
Step-03 is System proposal
The analyses, system concept, and models are combined in to a document called the system proposal.System proposal is presented to the project sponsor and other key decision makers.
e.g- Members of the approval committee
According to the proposal the committee will take decision weather the project should continue to move forward or not.
System proposal is the first step in the design of the new system.
The system proposal is the initial deliverable that describe what business requirement the new system should meet.
